Deep Learning Analytics is searching for a Data Scientist Support Engineer to work in our Rosslyn, VA location. If you have experience with machine learning or deep learning, and are an innovative thinker who can bring new perspectives to our team, send us your resume.

What you will be doing
As a software support engineer you will work with a team of innovative data scientists on a state-of-the-art deep learning project. As a support engineer, you will:

Assist data scientists in the development of machine learning and deep learning algorithms
-
Support closed-space experimental results generation, optimization and analyses
-
Assignments vary by task and may require you to:
-
Wrangle data (observed samples and labels) for use in machine learning algorithms
-
Comply with a govt-defined ICD for inputs (data) and outputs (performance metrics and object recognition specification)
-
Optimize deep architectures for performance, and implement systems to formalize and support such optimization
-
Develop machine learning systems to perform supervised and unsupervised learning
-
Develop a proficiency with deep learning algorithms, design considerations, and methods to overcome their limitations or constraints due to hardware or data
-
Export deep architectures onto a small SWAP hardware platform (such as an FPGA or GPU SoC systems)
-
Supporting and enhancing any of the above in the context of the project.

​Comply with all government compliance requirements, including security protocols, time charging, and ethics, among others
​
Technical Skills
-
Machine learning and deep learning in CUDA and Python (including scikit-learn, Caffe, TensorFlow, Torch7, cuDNN, etc.)

DevOps, including machine provisioning (a la vagrant, puppet, etc.)
-
Familiarity with the Linux command line (bash scripting)
-
Experience working with large, complex image datasets
-
Version control systems (git, etc.)
-
NOSQL Database design (MongoDB, e.g.)
-
Communication of complex technical material (powerpoint, word, etc.)
-
QA and some testing procedures using nose
Experience Required
Level II positions require 1 years experience in software engineering, computer science, or other applicable STEM field, preferably including experience with machine learning in a team context.
Level III positions require 3 years experience in software engineering, computer science, or other applicable STEM field, preferably including experience with machine learning in a team context.
